Oakley City - TextMyGov Announcement

Oakley City is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov’s text alert system, a new service designed to keep residents informed with localized and important information directly affecting our community.

This new texting service allows the city to send text notifications directly to residents within particular regions about Local Emergencies, Utility Service Updates, and other Important Announcements. As part of our commitment to keeping our community informed and engaged, some residents may receive an initial text from the number 91896 during the week of March 28^th, 2024. These residents will receive these essential and localized community updates.

 All residents may also sign up to receive city-wide text message notifications about Utility Services, Road Closures, Upcoming Events, and General Announcements.

Oakley City encourages all residents to opt-in to receive these city-wide notifications. Signing up is easy and the best way to stay informed about community matters and events. Simply text OAKLEY to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to complete the opt-in process by responding with YES.

Users may opt-out anytime from future text alerts by simply texting STOP to 91896.

This new communication tool underscores our dedication to transparency and community engagement. We look forward to connecting with our residents and enhancing our ability to communicate effectively.
