On April 14, 2021 at the regularly scheduled Oakley City Council meeting, Ordinance 2021-03 was formally adopted and is effective as of this posting date, April 15, 20021.

On March 17, 2021 Governor Cox of the State of Utah issued an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency due to drought conditions throughout the State.  The City's supply of potable water is limited.  The intent of this ordinance is to curtail City culinary water usage for water features including but not limited to ponds, lakes, outdoor swimming pools, and other water features.  Properties that employ water features must have their properties inspected before May 15th of this year by Oakley City Public Works.  Failure to do so may result in a violation of this ordinance and be subject to both civil and criminal penalties.
