Brandon Bates makes his return to Pro Rodeo after a nearly two decade career with the Professional Bull Riders. The 17x PBR World Finals announcer is most excited about one particular event. The Oakley, Utah 4th of July Rodeo and Celebration. Four years ago Bates, along with his wife Ashly and 3 children Zeyda 12, Beckham 4, and Whitley 1, moved from Edmond, Oklahoma to the city of Oakley. So now the Oakley 4th of July Rodeo and Celebration is Brandon's hometown rodeo. I've always heard this rodeo was really special. The first time I attended In 2016 as a spectator, I was able to fully grasp just how special it was. The previous announcer Wayne Wise was here for 26 years, so I would be very short sided to not thank him for building such a prestigious platform in the announcers stand. He brought the live event to life for all of the fans over the years. I look forward to the challenge and fun of doing the same for years to come.
