PUBLIC NOTICE OF PASSAGE - EXTENSION OF MORATORIUM 2021-06.5

PUBLIC NOTICE OF PASSAGE

EXTENSION OF MORATORIUM ON ALL BUILDING PERMIT APPROVALS REQUIRING A NEW CONNECTION OR EXTENSION OF AN EXISTING CONNECTION TO CITY WATER AND A MORATORIUM ON INSTALLATION OF NEW LANDSCAPING THAT REQUIRES IRRIGATION WITH THE CITY CULINARY WATER

Ordinance 2021-06.5

On October 27, 2021, at their regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Oakley City Council adopted the above referenced moratoriums due to the lack of surplus capacity of the City’s culinary water supply and the current drought conditions. The City is actively pursuing additional culinary water sourcing and storage but does not anticipate having additional water supply until late 2022. The moratorium will be in effect until it is rescinded by the Oakley City Council.
