Moratorium on All Building Permit Approvals and New Landscaping requiring connection to City Culinary Water

PUBLIC NOTICE OF PASSAGE

MORATORIUM ON ALL BUILDING PERMIT APPROVALS REQUIRING A NEW CONNECTION OR EXTENSION OF AN EXISTING CONNECTION TO CITY WATER AND A MORATORIUM ON INSTALLATION OF NEW LANDSCAPING THAT REQUIRES IRRIGATION WITH THE CITY CULINARY WATER

Ordinance 2021-06

On May 12th, 2021 at their regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Oakley City Council adopted the above referenced moratoriums due to the limited nature of the City’s culinary water supply and the current drought conditions.  The City is actively pursuing additional culinary water sourcing and storage but does not anticipate having additional water supply until 2022. The moratorium will be in effect for 180 days from the date of adoption.
